A Symposium of Ancient Greek Poetry

On December 13, the department hosted a symposium of Greek poetry in which students of Greek lyric recited their own translations of Archilochus, Alcaeus, Alcman, Sappho, Mimnermus, Tyrtaeus, and Simonides and students of Greek tragedy performed excerpts from Euripides’ Heracles and Bacchae.  Check out the pictures from the event by scrolling below or click here.
